The Empowerment Center Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit social service organization serving the citizens of Northern Nevada. The organization provides a clean and sober living environment with a recovery oriented system of care to women who are in recovery from the devastating diseases of alcoholism and addiction.
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada provides food for families in need through more than 145 partner agencies across northern Nevada and the eastern slope of the Sierra in California. We serve more than 106,000 people every month, almost half of whom are children and seniors.
Sky Tavern Jr. Ski Program – America’s Oldest and Largest Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Learn To Ski & Snowboard Program.
For over 70 years the community has made Sky Tavern happen through their efforts and love of the sport. Sky Tavern is a CO-OP staffed by you! All the adults contribute a few hours a weekend as the staff of a ski area for kids. Kids learn to ski and ride, adults have fun too!
Underground Ministries widens the embrace around those leaving the underground of prison and gangs. Your monthly giving empowers more communities to say “Yes” to those who have lived in the shadow of “No” their whole lives.
Every child in foster care has a name and a story, and every story matters to God. Due to a shortage of foster homes across the country, children in the foster care system are often placed outside of their community, moved around multiple times and are vulnerable to society’s most pressing issues. If even a fraction of churches raise up one Foster Family with a team of Support Friends, there will be more than enough loving homes to meet the need.
Our mission is simple, we want to make disciples and change the world. We seek to be used by God to develop fully empowered followers of Jesus who themselves seek to do the same.
